The simple sundress has lots of options
First off is it sundress or sun dress? The weather has been so hot that I’m not sure how to spell anymore. The sundress is a staple of hot summer days and the days this past week have been nothing but hot. Now is the time to pull out that summer sundress and enjoy its cooling effects.
Sundresses are easy to wear and make dressing during hot weather a breeze, no pun intended. A-lines are the most universally flattering and a skirt with a slight flair increases your chances of catching a breeze. The nice thing about a sundress is how easily it makes one look pulled together. While shorts are comfortable they have a tendency to look too casual.
Try it half a dozen ways
A sundress is also easy to dress up. Worn with flats or low heeled sandals a sundress takes on a casual air. When the weather cools for the night the addition of a jeans jacket keeps you warmer without dressing you up too much. For those slightly more dressy summer days wear a sundress with wedge sandals or strappy heels. Add a silk sweater and you have a casual slightly dressy pulled together look.
Sundresses are the answer to all those too hot to bear days. It doesn’t take a great deal of thought in getting dressed and you will feel cool and comfortable. Sundresses get bonus points for making us look like we cared. If you have a casual office you can probably get away with wearing a sundress just remember to layer on a sweater and wear some conservative jewelry.
Dress it up and go out on the town
