Looking at Shoes Again

These Fitzwell got me thinking about sandals

Is there some type of rehab for this addiction? I swore that I didn’t need any new shoes about a month ago and I haven’t looked at a single pair. Well at least I haven’t looked with intent to buy. Okay I thought about buying and even put them in my cart but I left them there so long they were no longer available. I think that is a step in the right direction for a self-confirmed shoe addict. I even get weekly emails from Zappos.com letting me know who has new styles. I did good and actually deleted the emails without going to their site to check prices.

Well it was a short lived recovery and now I’m back looking. Since we had a week or so of good weather I became interested in sandals. It is that time of year when things are supposed to be warming up and we can think about baring our toes. Not that my feet are in any shape for their debut, but first I need the right shoes. I still want some new sandals and I don’t know why. I’m usually a closed toe shoe person. I love flats, loafers and tennis shoes for running around. I have pumps in just about every color and material you can image. Why I would look for sandals is beyond me.

Then I received a catalog from Kenneth Cole

First I would like to explain that I don’t wear sandals that often. I usually reserve them for those really hot days in July and August. We’re still pretty far away from that time of year. So why I would be looking in March is a real question. I guess it’s because everyone has been sending me their emails and catalogs of shoes. Sandals are really big right now and I’ve been inundated with new styles. What’s a girl to do?

I will probably resist, at least for a little longer. Although I will admit that my addiction to shoes is really bad and besides, I need a new pair of brown flats. I think I wore my last pair to death. In my defense I have owned them for a few years so I think I’ve gotten my money’s worth out of them. A trip to Payless Shoe Source might be in order although I’ve heard that visiting your dealer isn’t a good idea. Kind of like going to a bar for a recovering alcoholic, maybe I’ll just shop on-line, its anonymous and no one has to know.

What I need is a new pair of brown ballet flats, love these by Ralph Lauren
