Stacking Rings

Maybe it’s just me but I’m seeing a lot of rings being worn in non-typical places. We’ve all seen the large cocktail ring being worn on the index finger and I’ve even taken to wearing stacking rings on my middle finger along with my diamond rings. It’s a trendy fashion statement and I like it. I saw a woman the other day wearing a ring on her thumb. I’ve seen this before, usually in magazine photos and advertisements. It also appears in some of the photos of the blogs that I follow. It’s unusual and I think it reflects the wearer’s uniqueness. This was the first time I’ve seen it worn by a slightly older woman, mid to late thirties, in an everyday situation.

I’m not saying that older woman can’t wear rings on fingers other than their ring finger. Let’s face it; the older you are the more likely you are to have some really gorgeous rings and who wouldn’t want to wear multiple rings at the same time? It’s just that wearing rings on your thumb seems so Bohemian. The tattoo and nose piercing set, the “I don’t follow the fashion rules” group, those women who are individuals and proud of it. I’m not talking Lady Gaga Bohemian, just a little bit of a free spirit. These women usually have something in their outfit that is a little quirky but makes it look really good. They can carry it off.

Jewelry is a great way to express one’s self. It helps to say who we are and where we are going. If someone is into nature you may see more natural stones, wood and leather. If someone is more traditional they are usually into pearls and diamonds. The retro look is making a comeback and there is jewelry made to resemble Bakelite, shaped in large baubles. Jewelry is an expression of the wearer which is probably why there are so many different styles of jewelry. An inexpensive way to express your self is with Stackable Expression rings. They’re easy to mix and match and come in a variety of styles.

Stackable Expression rings come in diamonds, pearls and gemstones. There are many different metal finishes and types to choose from and who doesn’t love a good selection? There are so many to choose from the options seem endless. I think they are a great way to express your personality in jewelry. I’ve even purchased a few to be worn on my middle finger and because I have more than one, I can add or subtract a ring according to my mood. So spring is here and maybe a flower will be more appropriate, or maybe I’ll try something traditional like a pearl. My only problem is which ring to add to my collection, they’re all so pretty!
